Park Strategies for a 30+ Person Group?

Trying to tour the parks in a group of 30 is obnoxious behavior in and of itself, even without taking OP's comment literally.

How so......??

I'm curious. So what actually is your number of people together that wouldn't be obnoxious....?This really makes no sense.....If you don't enjoy the company of many many different people, then why The heck would you go to WDW?:confused3? Kind of confused there....And how is it obnoxious just being with that many people....popcorn::

I have to agree. Can you imagine getting stuck behind a group of 30 at the FP+ checkpoint?

Like this doesn't happen all day any day already??? Who cares that they are altogether or not? There's bound to be that many people split up walking in front of you to get to the FP lane.....And even if you did wait , what possibly can/did you lose in terms of time. A minute or 2....Really?

My strategy would be to either get 3 VIP tours, or split up. I see no other feasible way of doing this without going insane.

Well we're off to see Zootopia, but I did share some of the sentiments from this thread with my guests. And they agree it to worry about negative people. (Edit: removing content that affronted!)

Also they all chose to stay together in long queues vs. worrying about FPs. I love my posse.

I have. You get over it. Once this happened at Tower of Terror and and CM were able to get them through quickly. Another time, my friends and I got behind a large tour group at Pirates of the Caribbean. The CMs then funneled the group through a different line for a separate loading area so it did not disrupt the flow of the regular and fastpass lines.

I understand that we plan and put so much (both emotionally and financially) into our Disney vacations, but it is good to remind ourselves that it's a vacation. Just go with the flow and enjoy the time you are spending with others around you. :)

Congrats on your wedding, @Hydra - I've been following your PJ and so excited to see more!!!

Everyone, play nice. I've removed several posts here due to unnecessary snark.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! We are going to play it by ear (haha, get it??) and have a blast. I'll make a suggested itinerary with fp suggestions and if folks don't want to follow it, that's up to them :)

That's what we did after our wedding in 2012. A little different as we were married on a Friday and actually only spent Saturday in the parks before leaving on a cruise Sunday, and then we came back to the parks for another 10 days after the cruise but by then all of our guests had left and we enjoyed the downtime by ourselves. I personally did not want to spend the week with everyone but I can understand you wanting to! We just told people where we would be, and when we bumped in to people we would do something together and after some time, we would split off again. It was nice, and didn't require any actual planning, which was awesome because after the wedding I didn't want to do any more coordination for anyone!

We did an illuminations dessert party after our rehearsal dinner. That might be fun for your group for this period of time if it's in the budget!!

I think as long as you keep it kinda loose and flexible you should have a great time!! Enjoy!
