Has anyone used the park sleep fly at the Sleep inn ear the Buffalo Airport?

http://www.parksleepfly.com/hotel-sleep-inn-and-suites-buffalo-airport-buf.html

we keep seeing reference to "how the parking works" but no one ever goes into detail on "how the parking works"

it appears to be offsite -- i would prefer not to have someone else drive my car, being as i am in a foreign country -- is it self park in a lot with a shuttle?

It's been a few years since we stayed there but when we did we were going to be gone for 2 weeks so we had to park our van down the street in a gravel lot that was a disaster with snow banks we had to get over and mud and puddles everywhere as we arrived back after they had a big snow storm and then a complete melt. The shuttle van drove my husband to this lot and back to the hotel on the night we arrived. The hotel did not keep our keys. When we came back we had a VERY long wait for the shuttle and then shared it with another couple- we had to first drop them off at property that is really airport parking lot- the shuttle driver said because they were gone a shorter time they were different lot than us.....he left them there -drove us to our gravel lot and then had to go back to other couple to let them back out.......he was letting them warm up/dig out their car.......they would not be able to get out without him going back..........meantime we could not get to the back of our van due to snow and mud and puddles and were pushing it out- my son and I while husband had the wheel........got it out.......meantime the shuttle driver threw our suitcases out in the mud/snow- literally- they were a mess. I realize the snow/melt down could not be helped.........I realize he was in a hurry but we could not get into our van!!! We have not stayed at that hotel again. We complained and sent pictures. They were supposed to send us a gift card- they never did. We have had really good experiences at the Days Inn, The Best Western and you leave your cars right there on the lot. Other times we have gotten a hotel but parked at the airport and just walked to the terminal- parking is not expensive and it can work out to the same price parking at the airport as paying for park and fly. Sometimes I have used priceline to get a good price on just the room. The Fairfield is nice, Townplace Suites, Residence Inn, Salvatores Garden Inn. The Clarion is often the cheapest but we found it disgusting and dirty- and they take your keys and lost a couple's ahead of us. People report that Staybridge Suites is really good too. You can get a decent park and fly rate there or the days in on the Peace Bridge Duty Free site. http://www.dutyfree.ca/Travelpagehome.aspx

wow that sounds -- horrible ---
the wife already booked the room, but hopefully there will be no snow in August (mind you with the weather lately it just might happen) -- they also apparently got new management that are much better and had a recent reno --

i wouldn't mind parking on the airport lot itself 0 or even a gravel pit -- just don't want people driving my car/valet :)

We've stayed and left our car at Days Buffalo on Genesee Street for the last four trips. We book directly with Days. We park our own car and keep our keys. We've never had a problem. Last August we parked our car for two weeks.

What is the procedure when you return to get a shuttle back to the parking lot? Does the Days Inn shuttle have a phone to use at the airport or did you have to call them with your Canadian cellphone?

You can always cancel your reservation.

There is a direct phone at the airport. We've also used our cellphone for the first two trips because we didn't know about the phone. The shuttle was there in less than five minutes once we called during all four trips.

We stayed with them in Dec 2013. Their lot is gated and attached to the airport parking lot. You park your car the night before and then the shuttle just takes you in the morning.

When you return you call from the phone bank and they drop you right at your vehicle not at the hotel.

The offer a hot breakfast and we have found all the staff very friendly.

I have never had an experience like the PP who said it was down the street but we've only ever used 7 or 8 days not 2 weeks. We kept our keys the entire time.

Check out Trinity Reservations. We used then many time for their Buffalo park & Fly packages. They have great prices!

We stayed there in December 2013 as well and our experience was the same as Dsneygirl. Accept she didn't mention the freshly baked chocolate cookies at reception. yummy. We're staying with them again December 2014.

The only negative I have, and I believe it applies to all hotel shuttles, is the pickup location for hotel shuttles is outside, uncovered, unprotected and located just west of the terminal building. But Sleep Inn was quick to pick us up and drop us to our car.
