How far in advance do they do the park schedules and ticket prices.

If I am going in february 2008 when would be the earliest time to get these and to start booking a room, etc?

We have the information right here on the DIS:

Park Hours

There is no steadfast rule for when park hours will be announced. Generally, they come out 6 months in advance. But like everything else that's Disney, those hours are also "subject to change".

Ticket Prices & Info.

Ticket prices are correct for today. Disney could raise their prices at any time without warning (although there's generally a little buzz about it on the DIS ahead of time). If you purchase a ticket today but do not use it until February, you do not have to pay anything extra if there is a price increase between now and your trip.

In the past when we have gone we have always purchased everthing separate. We are thinking of getting the meal plan this time and if I understand it correctly you have to have a package to get the meal plan right?

Also do you actually safe money doing it this way or would it be cheaper to buy it all seperately as I have in the past and just pay for my meals?

Unless you're a DVC member or staying at as DVC resort as the guest of a DVC member, you must book a package in order to get the DDP (DIsney Dining Plan).

The plan may or may not be a moneysaver for you, depending on your dining style. If you eat a TS meal everyday, enjoy a meal that includes appetizer and dessert and also consume a full beverage and dessert with your CS lunch, then the DDP will probably save you money. If you generally skip TS in favor of CS meals, eat lightly (by preference or out of necessity), or have children age 10 or over who eat like children and not adults, you might find that the DDP costs you more than you would normally spend. The best advise that I can give would be to take a look at the DDP subforum of the Restaurant Board and see what everyone there is saying.

Thanks Lisa for the information. That is a lot to think about but I am leaning towards getting the meal plan. I will go check out the restaurant board also.
