Park Reservations

Hello - do you need Universal park reservations like at Disney, or can you just go the day of entry and purchase a 1 day ticket and get into the park? Also, haven't been there in a few years, is there much to do for adults with no kids? Or should I just stick to Epcot.

No reservations are required for the Universal parks. Yes, you can buy a ticket on the day, if you want to ride the Hogwarts Express, you need a park to park ticket.

Have a look at the park maps on the Universal Orlando website and see what there is that would appeal to you. There have been a few additions last few years.

Since my kids are now grown I prefer Universal over Disney but we also love all the rides !!

You'll get more bang for your buck at Universal over Epcot, especially if you enjoy rides. Half of Epcot is a construction site making Future World unpleasant to maneuver through. Not all shops and dining have re-opened in World Showcase and entertainment is limited. If you want a table service meal, an ADR is essential. City Walk at Universal has lots of options without the hassle of having to plan what you might want to eat months in advance.
