Hello Disney Friends,
Okay, this is all on me for not understanding the park reservations with Magic Keys, but looking for some guidance on whether I've really painted myself into a corner.
My wife and I purchased our Magic Keys (Enchant) in January when sales opened back up. We were/are super excited (haven't really gone to parks due to some family issues) so we really decided to do 2024 right. Got reservations on-site for four nights at end of September, beginning of October, and a five night reservation (also on-site) for the first week of Xmas. We figured we've got our Magic Keys, the days we're staying aren't blocked out for the Enchant Key, why not, right? Well, counted down the days until we were 90 days out, and made our first part reservation. (starting in Disneyland!!) Next day, made a reservation for DCA, next day, back to Disneyland, following day, back to DCA. Then, the hammer fell, tried to make a reservation for the day we're checking out (breakfast at Carnation to wrap things up) and can't make a reservation. Google leads me to a PlanDisney article that talks about Enchant MK having a maximum of four (4) reservations. Okay, explains why we can't make a reservation for the last day; and Jeff should have read all of the fine print.
So, two questions, first, does the park run out of reservations? I'm assuming that once we enter the park on the first day of our stay in September, that "reservation" is cleared, and we can try to get a reservation for our last day, if a reservation is available. Not super worried about this one, as I said, would like to have a last morning in the park, but wouldn't break our hearts if we didn't get to have it.
However, if we can't get reservations for our November trip, I'm not sure if even a personal visit by the Mouse himself would dry our tears...
Again, I'm assuming as each of the "reservations" clear in September/October, we'll be able to make a reservation for November, but instead of being 90 days out, we'll be less than 45 days. And, maybe more critically, we'll have the same situation in November, even if we can get a park reservation for the first four days, in that we won't be able to make a reservation for the Friday/Saturday of the first week of the holiday overlay (eek!) until we've cleared a reservation by checking in on Monday.
Advice, information, and guidance very, very much appreciated!!!
Jeff
