I'm trying to figure out our park reservations for a trip in late June. We're staying off site and have park hopper. Should I make the reservations for whichever park doesn't have early entry to be able to rope drop more effectively? This would mean two days at CA Adventure and one at Disneyland however I figure we'll hop over to the other park each day. We've done Disney World, but this will be our first trip to Disneyland.

Yes or at least make two of your three days opposite of the park with early entry.

You posted on the Disneyland Community Board which most people won't see. Try posting your question in the main Disneyland forum here. To start a new thread, look under the page numbers but above the yellow sticky that says, "Heads up when referring to other sites."

My opinion is that the 30 min EE doesn't make a huge difference. The California parks open at 8 am and don't start to get busy until 10 am or later. If you can be in the parks for rope drop, you'll get quite a bit accomplished in the first couple of hours.

If it is your first trip to Disneyland, I would do two days at Disneyland and one at California Adventure. By the time you park hop at 11 am, both parks will be more crowded and lines for attractions will be long.
