Park Reservation Question

We will be at Disneyland December 8-11 with 4 day park hopper. I'm unsure if I should set our reservations for 2 days starting and DL and 2 starting at DCA or 3 DL and 1 DCA. We are staying onsite so would have EE. Any advice? Thank you!

My personal bias would be for 3 DL/1 DCA, but what attractions does your family prefer? Would they like one starting day at DCA to focus on Cars Land and another to get a head start on Avengers Campus? Or are they more interested in the attractions at Disneyland and can knock off their preferred DCA rides with one morning there?

Thank you. We are traveling with two teens and one is really interested in Star Wars. We do like Cars Land. I just wasn't sure if we needed two early mornings in DCA.

When we start at DCA, we tend to find a lot of rides closed, so keep that in mind.

And now that you can hop at 11 a.m., the two DCA days can be very short ones if you wish.

Also make note that not all rides are open for EE in either park. To me the most disappointing one that is closed for EE is RSR in DCA.

As you have Park Hoppers and are staying on-site, I'd suggest either: [DL, DL, DCA, DL] or [DL, DCA, DL, DL] knowing that the last day can be swapped, if needed, to give the extra start at DCA. You'll have on-site advantage (access to the hotel-bucket of theme park reservations) which should give you flexibility to make changes on the fly.

My DCA EE strategy: [Guardians, Webslingers, RSR] or [Guardians, Webslingers, Incredicoaster, Midway Mania]. Either take about the same time overall. We did the second variation (ending with Midway Mania) in about ~90 minutes last Saturday. (We do not purchase/use G+.)

Edited to add: We didn't discover, until too late, that Soarin' was over California on our visit last weekend. If we'd known that ... we would have run: Guardians, Webslingers, Soarin' as our plan!

I would decide based on what is most important to you for rope drop: Star Wars (DL), Fantasyland (DL), MMRR (DL), Marvel (DCA), Cars (DCA), or Space Mountain (DL).
