Park reservation question

Now that we don’t have an annual pass anymore, we were going to have to buy a ticket for a day or two in upcoming August. If I have a DVC reservation but no tickets purchased yet, am I able to make park reservations without a ticket linked to my account? Thanks

No, you need tickets in order to make park reservations.

The hotel/DVC reservation just determines which "bucket" of park reservations you can pick from.
