We (4) r staying at BC and AK opens EMH at 7 am on Sat., July 1st.

We only have FP for river journey, so we need to be there to ride the banchee, lol.

How should we get there? I will not have a car.
What time should or can we arrive to park?

What else do I need to know?

Thank you. This is stressing me out.

The resort buses will be running. They should start around 6 - 6:30 am.

I'd use Uber. You can practically order it when you leave your room door, and it'll be getting there when you get to the pickup spot. I'd leave nothing to chance for being late to am emh at AK, especially since it's 7am. The serious early risers will be well rewarded. Disney buses are great, sure, and I'd probably check the board if I woke up early enough to ponder the bus queue, but Uber is so fast and cheap, I'd just order one around 6:15, and probably be at ak at 6:45 with time to spare. No worries about buses, and cheap, too.

So the article says arrive 90 minutes before park opening so that would mean arrive at 530. yikes!!

Do others hunk that arriving at 645 is good enough? I have never done uber before. I would have to figure that one out. I have only taxied. They would be able too drop off up front?

Thanks!!

Well, we got down there at 5:50 to be safe. First bus arrived at 6:17. Put us at AK 6:38. They started letting people tap in around 6:50 and then there was another checkpoint up the hill where they scanned one person from each party to verify on-site resort guest. Then the rope dropped right at 7. Other people obviously got earlier buses or had driven themselves in large numbers. We were pretty far back. We went directly to FoP and we're out of the ride right at 8am. So not bad. And definitely the fastest way to ride it without a FPP.

Be at the bus stop at Beach Club by 6am, and you'll be fine. But really be there by 6am, not 6:15 or 6:20. The first bus will come between 6 and 6:30, and that first bus is the one you want to catch.

Over Easter weekend this year, MK opened at 7am & we were staying all the way over at AKL. The bus arrived around 6:15am, & we were at the gates by 6:40, with plenty of time to wait before opening. In spite of it being Saturday on Easter weekend at MK, not that many people were there, & we were able to get toward the front of the line for Mine Train. That's the beauty of AM EMH & rope drop: most vacationers really don't like setting an alarm clock & catching a bus before dawn on vacation. But those who are so motivated reap the rewards in the park.

I would want to arrive at the park entrance by 6/6:15 if riding FoP without a FP. You want to try to be ahead of the pack.

And yes Uber/taxi/Lyft can drop off at front of park

Just read someone's 7am RD experience. They drove, arrived just before bag check started at 6:15, were let through the tapstiles at 6:50, near the front of the crowd and done with FOP at 7:35.

Uber is really simple. Sign up here: https://get.uber.com/new-signup/

Download the app onto your smartphone and log in under the profile you just created. The directions for booking are ride are step by step and easy to follow.

Guest drop off:
- AK: closest to the entrance you can get, no other form of transportation closer.
- MK: Drops you off at TTC (alternative, go to contemporary and walk or monorail)
- EP: Drops you off next to taxis in with the first set of buses closest to entrance. (alternative: beach or boardwalk and walk in via international gateway)
- HS: Drops you off by taxis, it's further away than the buses. No better alternative.
