I need help from all of you experienced planners...I have the PassPorter and other books, but want your advice...

We'll be coming to WDW for our first trip 12/3-12/11, staying at the WL (me, DH, DD 8, & DD 5). We'll have 5 day park hopper passes, and some things in between (Cirque tickets for 12/4 and MVMCP for 12/7).
Anyway, Sunday will be our first day to do the parks-it's also DH's 37th & DD 8th birthdays!! My plan was to go to MK during the day, then EPCOT that evening (C.P. package)-BUT I just read in my Passporter that Sun. is one of the busiest days at the MK...so now I'm thinking MGM maybe??
What do you think...?? Which park would be better for that first day?

Thanks for your help!!

I'd like to stick with MK and try to get priority seating for CRT that morning, but what do you think about the crowds? It's an early entry day...(plus MNMCP is that night)??

The crowds are really pretty light the beginning of Dec so even if MK is "crowded" its not going to be that bad. We have been twice at the beginning of Dec and rarely have much of a wait for any attraction.

That's good news!! Maybe I'll just stick to the original plan then! :)

Now I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope to get PS for CRT that morning!!:)

Sunday is an extra magic hour day at MK. So if you get up and take advantage of that, you can get a lot done before the crowds pick up. Try getting the last seating for Cinderella, and then leave for Epcot. The park will be closing at 6 anyway for MVMCP. Im not sure when CRT is done seating for breakfast, but you can get some of the major attactions done by noon, eat at CRT and head over to Epcot for the rest of the day. Make sure your DD ( and DH too!!!) stop by city hall on the way into the park. Tell them its your DD's birthday and she will get a special call from either Mickey or Goofy ( i forget who is was) and they will get their birthday button to wear! When we were there on my DD's birthday, she told the CM at ToT that it was her birthday and we got to ride it 4 times in a row with no wait!! They took us down a hallway and on a employee elevator to the loading area. It was awesome!!!!

Sorry for the double post earlier...

AimeeM-thanks for the info-I like your idea of a late PS for CRT-here's hoping some pixie dust will blow my way and I'll actually get PS for that morning!!:)

ChristyJ... I will be sending tons of pixie dust for you!!! I have personally had great luck booking CRT everytime I have tried. Just set your alarm and start dialing at 6:58 and keep hitting redial, redial, redial. If possible, have someone else call too. When the CM answers, tell them you want CRT on your date. Ask for the last available seating of that morning. Take what ever they offer you. Heres why.... Last October, I was calling to book CRT for me my 2DD's and my mom. The CM said " i have an 8:30 for 4. I said, oh, thats a little early, do you have anything later. She told me " If I let this time go to look for a later seating, you will lose this time slot and may not get anything." I told her we'd take it. She took my credit card ( make sure you have that when youcall to hold the PS) and got my info. It took 3 minutes tops. Then she said, "now that you have this 8:30 booked, let me just look and see if there is anything later available for you. If there is, we can book that and you can cancel the first PS". She looked and entire breakfast was booked for the day. There was not a single reservation left. It was 7:03am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The CM was awesome for giving me that advice on keeping the first time. So if you tell them when you call to give you the lastest seating, take what ever time they give you first!!!! If its not as late as you wanted, you can always browse the shops on main street on your way to the monorail to Epcot. Stop and get ice cream.. or stop an look at the yummy treats in the Confectionary. Oh.. and shhh.. this is my secret..lol.. always check the inside of Exposition Hall in the back for characters, especially princesses. Its a spot where you can always find characters and they dont announce it. Only a few more days and you can call for CRT!! wooohooo:hyper:
