Park Pet Peeves

A quick note to people worried about Bathroom germs....DO NOT put your purse or backpack or ANYTHING on the bathroom floor. EVER. Hang it on the hook. The germs on the floor are worse than anything you could possibly imagine.

Oh i hear you on that! And one thing that bugs me is when the stall has NO hooks. where am i suppose to put my purse/back pack? Terrible.

Same thing happened to my wife. We were getting our kids mickey mouse ear ice cream bars, a large brazilian woman on an ECV made a beeline for Joey (our 3 month old), snatched him out of my wife's arms, and sped away into the dark. Haven't seen or heard from them since..

:lmao: OMG :rotfl2::rotfl:

I bring an s-hook with me because there are times when the hook has been removed and sometimes I just have so much stuff that I need the second hook.

OMG your brilliant!! I never thought of that. I have it at home. Im so gonna bring that on my next trip. LOL! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Your washing your hands afterwards anyway. So whats the difference??? I cannot believe ppl are complaining about this! ppl who dont flush are a much bigger problem than ppl who use their foot to flush. I dont care how you flush or what you use to flush, just flush. Thats all I ask.

BTW, if you dont wash your hands afterwards, then yes, i've exposed you to germs but thats YOUR fault cause you didnt wash. Not my fault.

I think that is an equally good argument for not using your foot to flush. Use your hands and then wash them. Far less danger of contamination to others that way.

Well if your washing your hands after, then your not in any danger of contimination now are you? I suggest you keep your eyes out of other ppl's stalls. As i said, there are far more disgusting issues to worry about like ppl PEEING on seats and/or not flushing.

I seriously cant believe this is still an issue with some ppl. I will not stop using my foot. Deal with it. Stop concerning yourself over what others are doing in the privacy of their own stall.

Im a proud foot flusher, and I dont care if someone else has a problem with it. What are you doing looking at me anyway? Seriously. If you have a problem with it, tough. I aint about to change. And I personally think its silly to complain about HOW i flush considering there are females that dont flush at all! Thats a bigger problem, and another one of my pet peeves. Why dont you flush? And if you tinkle on the seat, wipe it!!!

While we're at it, it irks me when i see ladies who DONT wash their hands or dont use soap. Animals! just gross!

I hate it when ppl run into me (adults, kids, i dont care), they walk straight but look to the side or behind them, and they ram right into me. That ANNOYS me like crazy. And yes, stopping dead in your tracks is irritating as well.

As for the scooters, I hate it when they run thru crowds carelessly and cuss everyone in their way. I see it ALL THE TIME. It drives me crazy.

I agree with the poster who mentioned parents that publicly scold ppl who dont give up their seat for their kid(s). Thats just rude. Your talking to your husband quite loudly about how rude ppl are not to give up your seat...do you not know how ridiculous you are? Your kid is more important than mine?? I dont think so. You want a seat, wait for the next bus.

I am so proud of putting bird muck and all sorts of nasty things on the toilet seat on just so I can keep my hands clean. I never heard of foot flushing till I heard it here the toilet handles are higher over in the UK so you would need to be a contortionist to foot flush over here. So be proud of your foot flushing and leave the nasty germs to these of us who don't or didn't know about foot flushing in the first place.

My biggest peave is HUGE tour groups! Any nationality....
They travel in groups so big you can't get past them, they shout to others to be heard over their own noise, and they always seem to get to a ride entrance just before us!

I agree with TinkerwithDis. As i said below in my comment to the other person:

I guess...however, I still think that preventing the problem is far better than treating it.

If it were their own stall...I wouldn't give two hoots about it. I hardly do now! However, it isn't their own stall is it. Someone else that they don't know will be using it next. If someone wanted to flush it with the toilet bowl brush as long as it was in there own home and no one else will come along to come in contact, then I say go for it.

Way back in the olden days we used to call it common courtesy. Things we did naturally just because it's the right thing to do. Only watching out for #1 usually makes a person a definite #2.

Because you are leaving germs on the handle for everyone else to touch, because your hands are so much more important that the child's hand that touches it next. Or the elderly person both of whom can be affected by the germs you don't want to go near but are happy to leave for everyone else.

I dunno what to tell you. If you wash your hands afterwards, then you shouldnt have a problem. I dunno how many times ive said that already, but i will say it again and again, cause it makes sense. As much as it bothers you, im sorry but i cant and wont stop using my foot. Ever. I really wont. It freaks me out. Im not a germaphobe, but maybe borderline. LOL!

Wow, are you really not reading any of the previous posts?

Thats pathetic. Complaining that someone else uses their foot when you clearly have the tools to sanitize your hands once your done. And you really think that arguing with me or whoever will change things? The toilet handle is GROSS! I will NOT use my hands. PERIOD. You will just have to deal with your issues just like i deal with mine.

ha ha, i'd never flush the toilet barefoot. Also, unless you've been drinking heavily, I cant see how someone can lose their balance and have one foot fall into the toilet. :rotfl2:Funny thou!

Well, as bad as this sounds, I almost did that once and I was quite sober. I am a "foot flusher" and was wearing some strappy flip flops. I'm not quite sure how I managed to do this, but when I flushed my foot slipped and the flusher handle got wedged into one the straps on my shoe. I lost my balance and in trying to get my foot free from the handle I just about landed in the toilet bowl. Unfortunately, during all the bouncing around trying to get free, I have to say that my sunglasses fell in and I did have to get them out (luckily they were cheap and I threw them directly into the trash and washed my hands for like 10 minutes afterwards). I guess I should count myself lucky that the toilet did get flushed several times as I was hopping up and down trying to keep my balance and get my foot free. I was so mortified by the time I got out of there. What can you do other than laugh at yourself in a situation like that.

And for what its worth, I was taught growing up that if the handle is up high its meant for you to use your hands to flush. If the handle is lower and be comfortably reached with your foot then its meant to be flushed with the foot. Right or wrong, that's what I go by. If anyone is worried about germs on your hands then just grab some TP and use it when you flush (as long as you remember to drop in in the toilet in time for it to be flushed down as well).

I totally agree! I will not stop using my feet, period! If you dont like it, thats not my problem! Do you know how many women i see using their feet? Many! You think they will stop cause you tell them to? Not gonna happen.

Yes my hands are more important than your hands. You think I give a hoot about anyone else's hands or feet? Hell to the no!!
HAHAHAHAHA very well said. LMAO! :lmao:

My biggest pet peeve at Disney or anywhere else is when someone holding a baby, or elderly person, is not offered a seat on the bus. Where are your manners?
