Park parking fee, resort check-in and MB

My daughter will be visiting with us just north of Orlando. We are going to spend two nights at All-Star Sports while she is here. She has a Magicband from a visit 6 months ago.

My question- if she drives straight to a park from our house will the MB be enough to get her through the toll gate? Last couple times I've gone to a park the cast member just saw the MB on my wrist and waved me through, but is that policy or do things vary park to park concerning parking?

Does she need to check into resort first and get the parking pass for her dashboard? She will probably be getting the 3-day Florida promotion pass so there is no annual pass involved.

Just trying to make sure she doesn't get to parking and all the sudden has to pay $17 even though she will be a resort guest checking in later in the day.

Thanks

When I've gone to a park before check-in one time, I paid the fee and then kept a receipt of the parking fee payment, and was reimbursed at the resort later that night when we checked in.

As far as my experience, an AP (with ID our last visit) or the parking pass from the resort has been needed to enter without paying a parking fee.

This would be my expectation as well or she should check in first. They are now allowing off site guests access to the MB so that would no longer indicate an on site guest. To be safe, I would check in or just pay and get reimbursed at the resort when you check in.

The other option is to go to the resort and then she can take the bus to meet up with you.

She could always go to the resort and get the parking pass. No fee to go the AS sports. They will give any number of parking passes necessary for the room. We even got an extra pass for our daughter so she could visit us staying at ASMusic a few trips ago.

We never had to pay. We just showed the resort reservation and no problem.

The point of the OP's post is what to do if they can't go to the resort first and get that pass. Hopefully everyone reading this realizes you get free parking after you have that pass. What I'm referring to, trying to answer the OP's question, is how to get through without having that pass. As far as I know, the only option in this case is to go ahead and pay, then get reimbursed later upon check-in. They take plastic at the parking booths, if OP prefers.

Thanks for the help. Best plan if possible would be for my daughter to get parking pass at resort since with intro of MB I'm never sure myself when I go to toll booth what is going to be required- MB only, my old annual pass card with ID, the new card I can use for parking that came with new MB, whatever

So...is paying for parking and getting reimbursed at your on-site resort later in the day a sure thing? I'm concerned we won't have time for check-in/bus ride from ASSp to DHS rope-drop 8am so may just want to drive straight there. TIA!

Unless things have changed since I did this a few years ago, you should be able to. Just hold on to any receipts the parking lot attendants give you for when you check in.
