Park opening today? 11/10

Unless my app is not updating, I’m not seeing park hours yet. We leave Disney today and head over to check into RP and I’m tentative to leave. Any insight?

Universal Studios and CityWalk opening at 2pm and Islands of Adventure at 3pm. It sounds like it's for Universal hotel guests only.

And limited rides available, partly due to lack of staff apparently.
Eg. No Hogwarts Express.

Yup. Only got the message about Islands opening, never heard about Studios. Either way, it’s our first time here and being able to explore islands and get our bearings in a quiet park will be super helpful for tomorrow.

Yeah, I think the biggest reason they opened yesterday was to relieve crowds at the resort restaurants. Reign of Kong was about the only big ride that opened at IOA, and not until the last hour, or so, so we just chilled at Mythos.

Guest services recommended I come today (Friday) rather than yesterday as all rides would be running.
She didn't mention that today is a public holiday and the crowds/queues would be insane. I managed to bag the main three I wanted with the help of early entry, but at 1245 I'm sitting with a beer before leaving. It's horrible.

LOL! Yeah, we figured it would be that way today, so we're hanging at the pool until the last few park hours.
