Does each of the four theme parks have opening ceremonies in the mornings?
If so can some one describe each for me? How much time should you give yourself in the morning if you wish to see one of these opening ceremonies?

thanks,

We were at the MK for the Park Opening Ceremony. It was cute and our first time ever...so I was surprised when they started playing music, and a voice comes over welcoming everyone to the park for the day. They do a big countdown...10 to 1, and then they drop the rope. They gave my DD4 a bunch of confetti to throw when they hit 1.

It was a great way to start an entire day of magic!!

Come to think of it, we were at MGM for opening too...it was raining, and they actually "dropped the rope" about 10 minutes early...but there was no recording or "ceremony" of sorts.

Ak has the Adventure Begins ...

Two Safari CM's will come to the rope area and select an Adventure Begins Family....a Character vehicle arrives carrying Minnie, Pluto and Goofy (Mickey is usually up by the Tree of Life) and they do a ceremony to make sure all of you have everything you need for your Adventure. Afterwards, the music starts ("Welcome to Our World"), the vehicle begins to make it's way toward Kilimanjaro Safaris, and the Safari CMs have the selected family hold the rope and walk behind the vehicle first. The family is then escorted onto the Kilimanjaro Safari Truck ahead of the crowd :)

At Epcot, they usually let everyone in to a rope right in front of Spaceship Earth about 15 minutes before opening. Then the big double decker character bus drives up with a TON of characters on board to welcome you to Epcot. The bus then usually goes to Innoventions Plaza, where you can meet the characters. It's nice to meet them there if you're a character hound, but if you're like us and you're trying to hit Test Track (or Soarin' when it opens) you'll be glad they're there to pull away some of the crowd. :)

At Disney-MGM Studios, they let you part of the way up the street, and they play a little speech about Hollywood and Movies, then some Tower of Terror CM's lead you up Sunset Boulevard to the Tower and Rock 'n Roller Coaster.

the AK opening ceremony is AWESOME. I think i like it better than the MK one. those are the only 2 ive seen.
