This is not a party night. My question is, why?

I thought crowds were manageable earlier in Dec. However, could this be to give back to those who cant do all the parties? I say this because there is an MVMCP on both Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and I even THINK on Sunday. With that said, could the 1 am time be just for those who dont party all the time?

I'll be ther eSat and I'm just curious if this is a crowd thing (which in past years on this week I've found to be very reasonable) or for the other reason?

Yes,MVMCP is the reason that MK is open until 1:00 AM on Saturdays in December. They did the same thing last year.:)

I'm going to be there Saturday too!

I noticed that all three of the Saturdays before Christmas in December the parks are open until 1:00 AM. I'm not sure why, but I'm happy about it!

Especially since I looked at the weather report, and as of right now, the low Saturday night is only supposed to be 65! So we won't be freezing.

It is Pop warners last day and the following week there are alot of MVMCP scheduled. So my guess is it will be busy

I was at MK this past Saturday until 12:30am and lines were great except for Space Mountain which said 100 minutes,in my opinion it didn't make sense, we rode Big Thunder with a 5-10 minute wait,Pirates with no wait and pretty much everything else said 5 or 10 minutes. Is it possible the CM's were increasing the wait time to keep the lines down and not have an hour wait at 1am meaning they would need to be there until at least 2am.I'm saying this because the crowds and wait times just didn't add up and we passed by a couple of times and that 100 minute wait time never changed,I should have tried making the line just to know for sure.Aside from that the night was great it was in the 40's but with little wind which made it feel great.

What did the crowd calendar predict the rating would be on 12/5? I ask because we arrive THIS Saturday and it's rated a 7, which is pretty crowded by my standards. If 12/ 5 was rated a 7 as well, I'd like to know what it was actually like as the day went on. (If you don't mind...) I don't know if we can stay up until 12:30 on the day of our arrival. :rotfl:

Any info would be appreciated.

The wait times I had this Saturday were in the late night hours up until 12:30 am,I'm sure during the day the waits were longer.

It would really be an unfair comparison......the weather here on Saturday morning through early afternoon was horrible.

In my experience, the crowds always seem to be the smallest in the early morning, build throughout the afternoon and then begin to really thin out after the first Sectro parade and Wishes.

If you can, arrive early, leave around three for a break and return in the evening to finish up. Or just prepare yourself mentally for large crowds and make the best of it.

Have a great day Saturday.......we will be there too.

Steph

My co worker was there and said it was packed....he said he got a FP for BTMRR and the returnm was around 10:30...I told well thats good you got one cause they easily could have been gone for the day...So not sure how crowded it really was

i am arriving on friday and have come to accept the fact that it might be crowded - but hey i am still at disney and i will make the best of it

There was a recent thread about this very topic. Several people mentioned that through conversations with CMs that they were told it is common to post false long wait times at the end of night for some of the big rides. I don't blame them. I've had jobs where you are supposed to be done at one time, but you have to wait until the last stragelers get done.

When we were are DHS on 11/25 about 15 minutes before closing the wait time for TSM was posted at 120 minutes. I had read on here that the wait times are often very misleading at the end of the night, so we got in line anyway. We were through the line within 30 minutes of getting in it. Actually I think we were done riding by then! Glad we waited!
