Park Maps to Give Away - UPDATE: ALL GONE

I made my offer yesterday on this thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2483969), but I got no responses, so I decided to start my own thread.

I have extra maps, 4 each, of DLR and DCA I picked up while on my first ever trip to DL 4/25-5/01. Everytime I entered a park I picked up park maps. Sometimes they were used and sometimes they weren't. The maps I'm offering were not used so they are in perfect condition. I have other copies of maps that I used during my visit that are perfectly fine for helping to preserve memories of my trip.

Does anyone need maps? These maps are in English - If you live outside the U.S. I might consider mailing maps to you if postage isn't too high.

ETA - If you would like 1 each of the maps, please PM me with your name and address. I still have 2 of each map remaining.

At the top of the DIS Boards page, and on the right side you should see a box that says "Welcome, mhalpern" (your user name). Under that is a line that says "Private Messages". If you click on "Private Messages" it will open and you will see your mailbox.

To make this a little easier, I have sent you a PM. When you look at "Private Messages" at the top of the page, it should be in bold and you should see the number 1. All you have to do is click on Private Messages to open your mailbox, and you should see a list of PM's. Open the one from me by clicking on it. In the box that shows what I wrote, just start typing underneath it and then click on "Submit Reply".

A BIG difference if you happen to live on the right coast.

ETA - Like others that posted on the thread yesterday, I was a little perturbed with the quality, or lack thereof, of online maps and maps in the books I found. Some were blurry, some were too small, etc. When you're trying to plan a trip to DL, especially a first trip, this can be pretty frustrating. For those of us who do not live anywhere near DL, or even CA for that matter, getting our hands on park maps ahead of time is a great planning tool.

Besides, some pixie dust rubs off.

Plenty of us do this; snag extra maps and send them (at no cost, unlike the sneaks on ebay) out to fellow dis'ers who understand how FUN it is to have maps in hand ahead of time!

I once swapped...I sent a dis'er DLR maps, and he sent WDW maps. Most excellent! Oh, and someone once sent me maps from the Tokyo parks!

ohh ok well i can totally help out with that! i live in orange county, 25 minutes away from disneyland. i can totaly help the OP out if they want.. or not.. but oh i see so those that live far away can plan better.. that's a REALLY freakin good idea!!

Right! Since you live in CA, if you were planning a trip to FL or Tokyo or any of the other Disney parks, wouldn't it be great to have park maps ahead of time to help with your trip planning? Having actual park maps helps a lot.

When I was planning my trip it would have been nice to have actual park maps to work with, but DL doesn't mail out park maps so I decided to try to help out a few folks when I got back from my trip. It took me a month to get around to it, but the thread I posted on yesterday reminded me, and I was so glad to help.

no your missing my point.. what i meant by helping send was, i live near the park. i go 9 times a month i could pick up some and send them to the ones that wanted them that could not get one caue you ran out..

that is what i mean.. but if you don't want help , that is cool! it was a cool idea for those traveling though
