Park it. Where is your favorite bench or place to sit?

I thought it would be fun to read where people like to sit. Maybe it's a relaxing place. Maybe a hidden or secret spot. Maybe it's in the middle of all the action.

DL.....I love to sit in the circle of benches in NOS, facing HM. It's usually so peaceful and pretty. I love all the old growth trees. I really appreciate trees now that I live in a desert.

DCA....I grab a spot outside TOT. The attraction is so lovely and well themed. The screaming is a bonus!

We like to relax on the benches behind BTM on the walkway that goes to Fantasyland. Its nice and cool there and usually fairly quiet.

We like the wall in NOS facing the River. I grab some jambalaya in a bread bowl and sit there and soak it all in.

Love to sit by TOT, benches between the hub and adventureland, and I really like to sit by the castle, really cool late at night........

Im a fan of sitting by the River at the Hungary Bear. The food is just meh, but I do like the location! It is a nice area to just hang out, cool off, and relax for a bit.

My favorite sittin' location was the old Motorboat Cruise dock (now "Fantasia Gardens" or somesuch)... until they parked the icky smokers there. Now my favorite locations are:
  • the benches just outside the Winnie the Pooh monstrosity
  • upper/lower deck of the Hungry Bear during off-peak hours
  • Cafe Orleans in the evening
  • Rancho del Zocalo dining area near the BTMRR tracks
I don't like to sit anywhere in DCA - it's strictly get-in, rides, get-out with that park.

My husband loves the porch on Main Street! He would sit there for hours if I let him! ;)

2nd vote for the main street porch, although it's always occupied! Also a favorite sport is along the rail at the outdoor dining section of Cafe Orleans with a monte cristo.

Well my favorite was dream suite patio ;) But I'll settle with ANYWHERE in NOS. Love it there. Also like in the front of the castle. Best people watchin there. And lower level of Hungry Bear.

The area outside TOT, benches along the Rivers of America, benches on PP, and of course on the DL RR.

Downstairs at Hungry Bear, Main street porch, and around the hub.

In the Court des Anges in NOS. Shady, cool, peaceful.

We used to duck in there when my youngest fell asleep in the stroller; if he got a decent nap, we could skip heading back to the hotel, and two of us could still enjoy the rides while the other parent sat in the shade. :thumbsup2

Hidden gem I found....Tom Sawyer Island...or Pirate's Lair...or what ever the heck it is now...directly opposite of the barge loading platform on the other side of the island there are a few picnic benches right on the waterfront with a small bathroom right there. Great place to chill and be away from the madness. Have seen college students there more than once with a laptop working away...I would presume studying...

I love to get an ice cream cone and sit on a bench on Main St. and people watch! My son and mom swear that the comfiest benches are in front of the Matterhorn.

Our favorite place was the sitting in front of the train in DCA while having a waffle cone, but I guess we will have to come up with a new place now. Maybe it will be in whatever sort of hub is there when the construction walls come down. ;)

We also like sitting on the edge of a planter in DTD in the evening listening to the "street music". :) Having a soft preztel also helps.

We like to sit on the benches in the hub of the spoke right next to the statue of Walt & Mickey.

Another favorite spot is by the cone shop near the locker area. Listening to the piano lesson.

The porch on Main Street. Great place to have a snack, people watch, and listen to the Dapper Dans.

Love sitting in the back at Hungry Bear, especially later in the afternoon when its pretty empty.

The porch on main street. I finally achieved a goal of sitting there for the fireworks while eating a Gibson Girl ice cream cone with my daughter on our last trip! Lots of people walked by us and would comment "how did you get those seats?" or "look, a front porch!" or the funniest by a little girl "mom, do they live there?":thumbsup2

In case anyone doesn't know where it is, it is on Main Street and is across the street from the Penny Arcade. There is a bench and chair, as well as steps leading up to the front porch that are good to sit on. It looks like a real front porch.
