I am so excited we will be going January 26 for one day. DH's company is doing a company trip. So that night the park will be ours! We are surprising our little cousins with this trip. It will be there first trip to Disneyland. Can not wait!

Thursday the 26th hours will likely be 10-8 so you know. And no nighttime entertainment besides WOC in DCA.

Man, what company does your DH work for to get so lucky??? Be sure to get your cousins to ride BTMRR and HM because both are better at night (there's just something wrong about having the light still streaming in through the windows when you're walking into the mansion, imo).

I'm hoping that Disneyland does this different than WDW. I was at a convention where we were supposed to have the park all to ourselves after-hours there last year. They didn't tell us until we got there that we would only have rides open (Space, Buzz and Stitch) and only have access to Tomorrowland. My ticket was free with my convention ticket, but I would have been sorely disappointed if I had paid $125 a person for additional tickets. Also, be weary if they say it is 'adult-themed' with little ones; that meant free drinks and lots of people having too much.

I hope your experience is better than mine was; I just wanted to prepare you to manage expectations.

he is contracted by Safeway. It is for family it is not an adult type of thing. We will def. be going on the rides at night. Tickets were $50 a person. We will be surprising them with the trip on Christmas. I will post pics once we do it. They are 11 13 and 14. They have never been. Dh and myself go once a year, there half brothers and sisters get to go with there father. I see the look on there faces when everyone but them get to go. I can not wait to surprse them. We are also going to get there early in the day and do Breakfast at Goofy's, then shop at world of disney get them some mickey years and a lanyard. Go to the room for a nap then Hit the parks from 4pm to 1am.

My NUMLOCK must have been off (and now I'm using my phone, so I can't edit). I meant to say that only those 3 rides were open and we only had Tomorrowland access. I'm hoping your special event is much better than mine was - but I would double-check on whether the whole park is going to be open, if possible.

I hope you have a great time!

From what we were told the whole park will be open. This is the third year they have done it. This is the first year we are going. The past two he never made it in time and the tickets were gone.

That sounds wonderful. Working across the street from Safeway headquarters I have found they do a number of events of such for their associates and employees. Sounds like a great time ahead :)

Have a great time. I'd love to hear your report and see any pictures.

FWIW when a private party rents a park it's a lot like a wedding. They pay for the location, that being the individual park. Then for what facilities they want to use in the park, land, rides, shows. Then catering, where they want to have food and what kind of food. Etcetera. So Private parties can vary quite a bit. Be lucky you get to go to one, the last time I did was with my father's company in the early 80s.
