Which are your favourite websites for park hours? I have my own Word doc where I have manually typed the hours/EMH etc for my dates, but wondered if there is anywhere you can actually see the hours for all four parks AND the parades/fireworks, etc on one page.

We are going in October and historically there has been a tendency for Disney to amend the hours for that period once crowd levels/attendance can be more accurately estimated. In other words, I want to keep an eye on it over the next few months. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys. :goodvibes

I know the dibb has one page with all the park hours.

Thanks! Forgot about the Dibb. :thumbsup2

I find http://allears.net/tp/emhour.htm good for up to date information,i also used it a lot for up to date menus for our last trip. But even once you are at Disney the hours can change, but usuallly its pretty accurate
Have fun planning:)

I take that as a given. It is simply for a rough idea as some changes don't make a difference. Adding something like a Fantasmic show kind of does.

Thanks guys!

From what I've read, even though the official opening hours of a park may be listed as 9am during the summer on a non-EMH day, it often opens earlier than that.

Anyone got a feel for how often this happens and what times the various parks usually open at during peak times in summer holidays (July/August).

It depends on seasons, crowd levels and other factors. In the busy times (Easter, Xmas and the peak of Summer holidays) you can expect it to happen quite often and very often this will happen at short notice. It has even been announced at a park that that particular park will be extending hours to close later.

I have also found that often what is on the website for park hours and what you get handed at the resort/parks re. park hours 12 hours after leaving your house, can be very different.

The good news is that amendments are always to add hours, not to reduce them, but sometimes it can have an impact if you have a particular strategy so I have learnt to expect the unexpected.

That is why I have an Itinerary A and Itinerary B - everyone needs an escape clause with Disney planning. ;)

Ah... good to know.

So when I arrive at our Disney resort, they will give updated accurate opening hours. So like will they tell you if they plan to open Magic Kingdom earlier, like 8am even when it's not EMH, the next few days.

You usually get given the park's hours for the week you are in when you check in at your resort. If they don't give it to you, just ask for it. They all have the little sheets and all the parks have them too.

I think the schedule runs from Sunday to Sunday so you will need one for each week/part thereof that you are there.

What I have found is that sometimes I check the park hours in the am before I leave and then when we check in the info they have has already been updated but obviously the website has not.

You won't not know about it though. :)

Like 2Tiggs says, you should get a little printed card in your welcome pack when you check in with the park hours for the week. You can also get one when you enter the park itself.

Most times your hours won't change after you check in. During rare times of year when they're predicting parks close to capacity they'll open something an hour earlier/later - normally talking Easter/SpringBreak, Christmas/New Year. Don't expect last minute surprise operating hours for your trip, they are definitely the exception rather than rule as most of the time they can predict what kind of crowds will be in attendance and pre-plan the park hours - effectively the only time they get added last minute is when they get 'caught on the hop' so to speak!

When it happened during my stay over Christmas a few years back there was both a voice mail and a new leaflet waiting for me in my room advising of the extra hours that had been added the following day(s). Obviously the purpose of opening earlier is to try and break up the crowds a bit for the attractions and it's in their interests to try and let everyone onsite know it's happening one way or another - you'll definitely know if it happens :)
