Just wondering when other people think the June hours will be released? I noticed on the website that June is up in the calendar, however it says "hours unavaliable" and the same for May...... Any ideas as to when this will be updated?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Any time between now and 60 days from now.

And, no, I'm not kidding. (Sorry.)

Even MAY hours have yet to be posted.

Here's the scoop-

Disney is implementing new ADR software and during the change-over the past timing of posting of hours and making ADR's (for most restaurants) "180 days in advance" has dropped to "90 days in advance" for awhile. (It should slowly build back to 180 days, as time passes.)

So, for the time being, expect Disney to post new month's hours any time between 80 to 180 days in advance...
and EMH times up to a week or two later.

The exceptions to the shortened ADR booking window are Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's and Victoria & Albert's, so you can call for those particular ressies 180 days in advance.

HERE is the current info from the DISboard's Restaurant Forum-

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1977770

When can I call to make my reservations?

You can make your reservations at any dining location that normally takes reservations at 180 days through March 22, 2009.

You can make reservations for Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table and Victoria & Albert's at 180 days. (180 +10 Still applies for resort guests staying on-site)

You cannot currently make reservations past March 22, 2009

Towards the end of December 2008, the upgrades will be complete and they will open the ADR window from March 23 - Late June 2009. At that time it will be 'business as usual' and the window will be 180 days for everyone.

What's this about 90 days?

Essentially nothing other than the fact that Disney has adjusted the window so it remains no less than 90 days.

When Disney originally thought that they'd complete the upgrade on October 24, January 25 was the date you could make reservations through. January 25 is approximately 90 days from October 24, and possibly where the 90 day impression came into play. When they estimated the completion date to be November 21, you could reserve through February 22. Again - about 90 days from November 21. Now they anticipate late December and are opening through March 22, another case of approximately 90 days.

So...

Just keep checking to see when the hours are posted on the "Official Calendar."

Robo -- I don't get the hard link between ADRs and the Park Calendar. Isn't it more of an excuse and not a reason to hold off on the park calendar? :confused3 I think they don't want to publish the calendar because they don't want to have to change it (much) as they react to crowd levels and the economy.

They use to PREPARE it six months in advance
because guests NEEDED it six months in advance
to make their ADR's.

Since that need is gone, they likely are utilizing the CM's
who were responsible for creating the info on other tasks.

None of us knows the precise reason it is not up,
but, certainly, the principle factor is that it is not essential to ADR's yet.

And, as someone who had kept a close eye on when these
have been posted for several years now,
I can tell you that they stopped the practice of posting them promptly
within the first week of a new month, six-months-in-advance...
at the time when they began getting ready for the new software upgrades.

You can choose any other reason you'd like, and likely be as accurate as
my guess.
