Park hours to be posted 6 months out!!

That is generous, but I hestitate to ask for myself (because, to be honest, I really can wait, and don't want to impose). However, Sandy, is there some reason why you are replying to inquiries by PM? I don't think that sharing park hours information would be considered by the moderators to be the type of personal messages that are prohibited from public threads, and what information she provides to some folks may be more generally interesting to many... Just an idea....

I am sharing via PM (actually I need an email address) as the format Disney provided it to agents is a 3 page pdf per month. I am happy to send it to whoever wants it though I imagine Disney (and/or Webmaster Pete as he is usually right on top of this stuff) will have it online today. I am working with a multitude of clients today to do dining who I was not scheduled to meet with until 1 week - 12 weeks from now, so I do not have time to type it into a format that can be easily shared. I am happy to help other dis'ers or not per their comfort level. My intention was never to invade anyones privacy.

Sandy

The format that the hours are listed in is via a PDF file, which can only be sent via email, not listed directly on the boards or on a PM. In order to get them to us, Sandy needs our email addresses, which I'm sure many of us dont want listed for everyone to see (or find) on the boards.

Gotchya, makes sense. For some reason I thought she was looking up the specific dates and PM'ing just that info. Y'have to understand, I didn't sleep last night, so I'm not running on all cylinders, up in the brain department, today.

I called this afternoon and got CRT for January 30th (before it becomes a 2TS meal :cool1: ) and Chef Mickey's for the night of the 28th but now I need to make all the rest and need to know the hours.

We got our ADR's for our trip on starting on 1/28 yesterday also. We're doing Chef Mickey's on the 28th too. Maybe we'll see you there.

Disney has release hours on the travel agent website. I am happy to provide them for anyone who would like them, just PM me WITH YOUR EMAIL. (The files are PDF so I must forward them that way)

Happy travels
Sandy

Thanks again Sandy.
The info will come in handy as I am neurotically planning my trip.
Take Care

Don't most people think that these hours will be changing as time goes by? I can imagine that Disney will release hours that are pretty similar to historical hours. Then, they could tweak them as the month got closer? I can't imagine these hours will be set in stone, so to speak. Does anyone know if they are close to the historical hours? Just curious.

They might change slightly, but there are some differences from last year. Most importantly, it looks like the "standard" EMH mornings/evenings are changing. Again. :(

For example, (thanks InstImpres!) EMHs for my week (last Feb/first Mar) are:

Su: MK PM
Mo: AK AM/DS PM
Tu: EP AM
We: AK PM
Th: MK AM
Fr: EP PM
Sa: DS AM

Which completely changes the itinerary I had in mind when I made all those ADRs I scrambled to make on Friday. Grumble grumble grumble.

Does anyone know if they are close to the historical hours? Just curious.

and here is what I see in comparison to last year's hours (which I printed the other day). I am concentrating on the 5th-10th since that is when I am there:

First of all Epcot hours are fairly fixed year round. AK is also fairly consisitant. The only big "unknowns about these 2 are the EMH. And looking at the proposed Schedule it actually shows AK open a bit later during the busier time of the month (President's Day), until 7pm Feb. 18-20. EMH is COMPLETELY different for all parks from what I predicited from looking at the 2005 Feb schedule and general trend.

MGM generally is only open until about 7 or 8 during the slow season--and that is staying fairly consistant also-- they are showing closing at 8:30 on Saturdays and during the busier times. So then the ? is when are EMH and when is F!-- This time of year you can count on F! to be after dark and close to closing and the schedule is showing 7pm for every day and an additional 8:30 show most Sat. and busy times. This probably won't change -- unless they add one somewhere

I think the biggest Park that gets "messed with" all the time is MK and the Spectro and Wishes hours/days. I know when I went 2 years ago they weren't even showing the Fireworks every night. They are showing Wishes every night according to this schedule. I would hope that this won't change unless there is a major budget problem! Spectro is infrequent during the slow times as is to be expected, and every night on Pres. Weekend (2x actually!). I would actually expect this to change--as I have seen Spectro added and subtracted or moved quite a bit, especially in the Value seasons.

I was most surprised by the EMH listing. Looking at Feb. 2005 schedule, and the current "trend" for EMH, I fully expected MK pm EMH (sounds like a horrible feminine problem :rotfl2: ) to be on Wed. night--but it is not. Right now it is Sunday nights and Thursday Mornings. This is a big change from the 2005 trend (as I see it).

I am not going to go into the specifics of each park and the hours and EMH for the month because I am not as nice as Sandy :teeth: (actually I am starving and need to get some lunch), but from my look as what she sent me and my "research" on 2005 hours and EMH trends, I think this is not just Disney applying historic hours to be substituted with "real" ones later.

BUT: I also TOTALLY believe that they will probably change quite a bit between then and now. However, I think if they mess with them TOO much they will receive A LOT of angry complaints as people have to change ADR and other plans, so I am hoping that most changes will not be DRASTIC, and will be mostly to our benefit.

Just my .02 on the issue and not even worth it's weight in :mickeybar !!!!

InstImpres Thank you sooooo much I just recieved the April hours. I haven't had a chance yet to see how this affects the ADRs I made yesterday. :confused3

Thanks for all the compliments.

I agree, I expect to see changes (they always do) but I do not expect them to move EMH's. So for people who try to hit them or avoid them, you should be able to plan. Also as others said, Epcot is standard hours and AK is pretty set except for an 1 or 2 at the end of the day which I don't think will mess anyone up greatly.

It's MGM (and the 2x a night Fantasmics) that make me want that park on certain days and the longer MK hours just help determine if we get a swim break or not (since DD and DN's are past nap age)

Happy planning
Sandy

I hope the EMH aren't changed later. I'm reworking my dining plans around those times.

My son will be thrilled to see that water parks will have EMH during our trip.

We are working on getting the calendars inputted. As you can imagine, this is a time-consuming and tedious process.

In the meantime, we did update the EMH section yesterday: EMH Hours

Keep checking the Home Page. We'll post an update once the calendars are done. :flower:
