Not that I would ever think to critize a Disney management decision.... .... but..........

How on earth can Disney post park hours six months in advance with ANY accuracy? They constantly change things now and they only post them a month in advance (if we're lucky!) -- I see LOTS and LOTS of posts in the DIS board future complaining about hour changes!

And ADR's 180 days out? What is the thinking behind that?

Like someone else said people will be calling back and forth to change ADR's --
because they are going to be going by hours posted 6 months out -- and no one will ever get through!

I think most guests are reasonable, and will take "subject to change" literally and understand it means, well, that the information is subject to change. Sure, there will always be some folks who will conveniently overlook or ignore such warnings, but despite the way the DIS makes it appear, they're actually quite rare, and generally would find something to complain about anyway!

Wow this is a real change to the usual Disney way of things. If this is true i will seeing september hours in April i guess

I using the platinium plan next year which states someone from Ipo will contact me within 100 days to make my reservations. I wonder how the 180 days impacts this?

I don't think this necessarily needs to be viewed as a major change. For years, folks here and at Intercot have been providing guests with information about historical park hours. There's no reason for Disney to chase its own guests, looking for that information, off its own web site, so perhaps what they're doing is just that: presenting historical park hours, modified as appropriate in the context of what they may already know about six months later, and then just adjust those hours as the actual operational plans get firmed up.
