Park hours posted for August?

I am looking at the posted hours for August and see that the parks are not opened too late, especially the animal kingdom closing at 8:30.
Will the times be extended? If so when will they be posted?

Some hours can change within 1-2 weeks of a given date... all the way up until day-of.

(And, as always, some hours will not change from what is listed.)

here's something odd. I had made a FP for Rivers of Light a few weeks back for our trip in August. I just looked on the park calendar for August and it said, for showings of Rivers of Light....none. And yet I still have my ROL FP, Disney didn't send me an email cancelling it.

I have the same and in fact the ROL show is after the 8:30 closing time which is strange!

This is very common. Especially for RoL and Fantasmic or Star Wars

I’ve seen where the show starts right at closing but Ive never seen a show start time of 8:45 with a park closing time of 8:30.

They'll frequently run RoL, Star Wars or Fantasmic sometimes 30 min after park closing. It's to separate the crowds from all leaving at the same time.

Not done as often with Illuminations or HEA

I would say they will extend the hours for AK. We are going at the end of July into the first week of August and they finally extended our AK hours a couple of weeks ago. Now I cant remember what date it was.
