I am planning a September trip to WDW and purchased the "Unofficial Guide" to Disney. I am trying to decide the best days to go in Sept. I was told any week is good, but the guide shows the week of Sept. 22-28 at a crowd level of "8" where the rest of Sept. the crowd level is a "2". Does anyone know what is going on that week and whether I should avoid it? Those dates fall during the time I wanted to visit, so now I'm trying to decide whether to re-think the dates.
Also, I was told the parks close early in Sept., but I can't find the times and schedules for Sept. 2005. Anyone know where to look? Does this mean no fireworks?
Finally, the "guide" mentions that there may not be any evening parades except on weekends during off-season. Where do I find this schedule?
Thanks.

September hours for parks, parades, and fireworks should be announced during the first week of July. The Food and Wine festival begins at Epcot on Sept. 30 and MNSSHP is also scheduled on Sept. 30.

For Your trip from 09/22/2005 to 09/28/2005
(note: Hours marked PROJECTED are based on last years park hours.
All hours are subject to change without notice. These hours do not include the EMH hours which will add 1 hour in the morning to a selected park and 3 hours in the evening to a selected park.)

Mk: Sunday-Friday 9-7 Saturday 9-10; Wishes every night, Spectromagic on Saturday.
Epcot: 9-9 every day; Illuminations every night.
ST: 9-7 daily; Fantasmic every night.
AK; 9-5 daily.

This is the link to the WDW site where the official calendars are listed and updated and where the EMH hours are also listed.

although i am not certain, i know there are some holidays that fall at the end of September (Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur) which mean the public schools in the northeast are off from school for a few days... that may effect expected attendance...

2ddprincess, the 8's are typos. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The correct crowd ratings should be between a 4 and a 6 for most of September. Our website will have the most up-to-date crowd levels.

Sincerely,

Len

Thank you so much. That makes my planning a lot easier now. Silly question, but where is your website?
