Park hours during 'slow' time of the year this year

We're planning a trip for late Sep/early Oct later this year, and I'm curious what has traditionally happened with park hours during the week during a typically 'slow' time of year when a celebration like the 60th is going on. Normally, this time of year, parks are open 10:00-8:00 during the week. Any chance of hours being extended so they're showing the new fireworks and parade during the week, or are nighttime entertainment options still limited to weekends only?

I don't know about the parade, but it's not terribly likely that they would extend the hours for fireworks on weekdays. DLR is limited in the number of nights per year that they can present fireworks because they are located in a residential area. I haven't read that they've gotten a waive from the City of Anaheim, so it seems likely that fireworks would remain limited to weekends (and MHP nights) in late September/October. In terms of Paint the Night...they haven't said they plan to do, although I would hesitantly guess that it'll be presented nightly right at or very near to closing. With sunset being earlier in the day, it's possible that they might be able to run it before closing.
