Park hours during Christmas

Hello,

It’ll be our first time to go during Christmas week so I was wondering - is it typical for parks to close at 9-10pm during Christmas week? I have never been during this week but thought that the parks would open later than that. I see both parks close at 7pm for IOA on 21st/ 10pm for US, 9pm close for both parks on 22nd to 24th, 10pm close for both parks on 25th and 26th. Just wondering if this is the case so we can plan our days better. It’s because my family typically like staying late more than waking up early lol!

I once overheard a TM tell a customer, "Yeah, we're not like Disney and stay open until 1am in the morning unfortunately," when a customer asked about the hours.

10pm closing hour is essentially the most they will do (taking HHN aside). To me, it makes sense. However, I do not know what it's like for holidays as I avoid them like the plague, but typically most days, it's very low crowds after a certain point in the afternoon / evening. I would imagine to them staying later than what they typically do (7-8) is felt unnecessary (also got that expression with the convo I overheard with the TM). Also, it gives them time to really clean up, do other maintenance, and give time for everything and everyone to chillax for the next day.

Thanks for the feedback! 9 just seems so early for such a busy time that I wondered if it was going to be extended. But I guess that is how USO works. Going to forego afternoon breaks and just stay throughout the day I guess.

Yep, it's just how things go at Universal. As night owls, I feel ya! :) But, on the flipside, you won't have late park nights so you'll be more rested in the morning. On the 7pm close day, someone probably rented out IOA for a private event.
