Park hours 180 days out?

Hello Friends. Forgive me, my memory is so bad now. I guess a 4 year old and 8 year old will do that.

Anyway, when we went to WDW in 2008 I thought I knew the park hours, parade hours, etc. before I made our ADR's, and I know I made those 180 days out. I saw last night that WDW does not release their hours until 180 days out now. So....did they release them earlier in 2008, or was someone online able to semi-accurately predict them, or what? I can't believe I can't remember. I don't want to make an ADR for a certain place and miss Spectro or Fantasmic.

Generally, even in 2008, park hours and ADR windows are right on top of each other. Sometimes, Disney might have gotten them out a few days in advance or sometimes a few days (or weeks!!) later than the ADR windows. So if you had park hours before your ADR window back then, you were most likely just lucky.

Right now I am finding them only through July 2010 (perfect for me since that's when our trip is ). For as long as I've been going, ADR's and park hours usually both had the 180 day time frame for posting hours or ADRs.

I wish I could remember what I did last time. I must have made educated guesses on the nights/ times of spectro and fantasmic. Well, that and EMH. I can make all of my ADRs if I have that info.

One other thing to consider - if your previous trip was at the end of a month, Disney often would have released the hours for that whole month (so 1-30th) 180 days ahead of the 1st of that month. So you might have lucked out just from a timing standpoint - the hours might have been available for you 3-4 weeks ahead of time, depending on when your trip dates were.

Vicki- that must have been what happened. When we went in 2008 we arrived around the 22nd or so. That is good because we won't arrive until the 24th this year. As long as I have a week or so to figure out our plans, that is enough.
