Hey all,
I am a newbie planning my 1st trip to WDW. I was just wondering if it is worth getting the park hopper option? Wouldn't you be wasting more time traveling to "hop" from the different parks? What are the advantages?:confused3

It really depends how long your going for? Are you staying onsite?

Park Hoppper can be really useful, If you wanted to spend the day in Animal Kingdom, which closes at 5pm, you could head over to Epcot which doesnt close until 9pm and catch the Illuminations. Or go for dinner in another park.

Also if allows for near the end of the trip, if you have missed bits, because the queues were too long or you just didnt have enough time that day to do the rounds for a couple of days filling in the bits you missed.

We have done it without and found it really restricting, but thats just us.

That being said if your only going for a few days and aren't bothered about getting everything done then maybe it isnt for you.

Am sure you could always upgarde once your there if you really found you wanted the hopper. :)

I personally would not go without the park hopper. As mentioned above, some parks close earlier than others and if you aren't ready to head back to the hotel you can go to another one. Or if you've been at a park and are just plain sick of it, if it's too crowded, or if you just want to ride a certain ride from another park, you always have that option.. Sometimes a certain park is much more crowded one day due to parades.. If that happened, you could just go right on to the next one and save yourself a stressful, crowded day! Just my opinion, but then, to each his own!

i really himmed and hawed about the hopper but since i havent actually gone yet (we go in february) all i can say is that since i actually went ahead and booked it, there is a better sense of calm now, knowing that i am not bound to HAVE to get everything done on one day...i have more flexibility now! :rolleyes1

i plan to not zigzag across the parks too much, but on the other hand i am thinking that the monorail or bus rides might be a respite for the kids at times, so its actually a built in rest stop that might be beneficial :confused3

like i said i cant say for sure...havent done it yet. We'll have to see!
