park hopping?

We always get it. I love the flexibility and being able to go to another park when the mood strikes. Last trip we went to MGM planning to see Indiana Jones but when we got there it was closed because of the cheerleaders. We did a few other rides and then went to another park. It was nice to be able to do that. We've gotten hoppers when the parks have closed early or late. It works for our family. Plus we like to eat in the restaurants in Epcot. I love Epcot but I don't want to spend my entire trip there. :teeth:

I'd say if you're staying for 3 days or less it's not worth it. But if you're staying 4 or more days then the extra $40 a person is worth it, compared to all the other costs associated with a trip to WDW.

I would think that stays of 3 or fewer days would benefit the most from hopping. You couldn't hit all 4 parks in less than 4 days without this option. Fortunately for us we haven't had a trip with less than 7 park days in over 10 years, so I'll defer to those who make shorter trips. :confused3

I think it depends on your WDW level of expertise. If you are a newbie, you are more likely to squeez all that you can out of one park on one day. If you have been many times, you are probably more inclined to hope around to see your favs as time permits.
If I have to stick to one vote, it is always better to have the option to hop. :thumbsup2

I agree with the last poster. It really depends on your family and what you think you'll want to do. We do get it, but there was a time when we didn't and we always had great time. When Disney wasn't offering EMH hours, then it didn't make as much sense to spend the extra money. i remember the first year we got it though, we said, "Oh, now we'll never go back!" and we haven't. I think for a first timer though, it makes less sense.

I was looking at it in terms of cost per day. It's only an extra $5.43 a day to add the park hopper if you're staying a week, but it's $15 if you're only going to be there 3 days.
