Park hopping without Park Hoppers?

Just booked my trip for next November :cool1: ! This is my question- I didn't buy park hopping option this time as me and DS did not use it when we were there last month... I did however buy 7 day tickets (MYW package) and I think that we (DH this time) will probably only be in the parks 6 days (will need one day to recover from PI!). If, for instance, we go to MK one day and then that evening decide to go to Epcot for dinner, can we use the "extra" day on our ticket? How does that work? I am hoping this is the case, since buying an "extra" day was only 6 dollars, and the PH option was around 90$! Thanks!

In a quick and easy answer to your question, "How does that work?" It doesn't. Multiple days on tickets cannot be used for admission to different parks on the same day. If you wish to enjoy ECPOT for dinner after a day of MK you will need to purchase the park-hopping option.

Nope, Disney will not allow you to park hop unless you have the park hopper option. If you try to enter Epcot later in the day after visiting MK, the ticket reader at the turnstile will not allow you to enter.

No you can't do that. Disney knew that people would try to take advantage of the cheaper extra day to park hop so you aren't allowed. If you had another ticket that you hadn't used that day to enter a park you could use that ticket.

The computer knows that you have already used the ticket that day to get into a park.

I knew it was too good to be true  ... thanks for your quick replies! I guess we'll just find a resort to eat at!

What do you mean "extra" day on our ticket? Is buying an "extra" day only 6 dollars? How do you do this? Please explain.
We are leaving tomorrow and going to MK for 1 day and the a Disney cruise. But on the Sunday after the cruise we have the whole day so another day at MK would be great.

Thanks

With the Magic your Way tickets the more days you buy the cheaper it gets. In your case this wouldn't work.
