If you rent a wheelchair at a park, then hop to another park, do you get a wheelchair at the new park (assuming availability)? In other words, does it work like locker rental?

Yes. Keep your receipt to show at the 2nd park. If a wheelchair is available (most likely yes) you will not need to pay again that day. This also works with ECVs, but those are not always available later in the day when arriving at the 2nd park.

Enjoy your vacation!

We rent ECV's off site so they go with us from park to park on the monorail, then back to the hotel.

there are a few wheel chair that you can take with you I ended up hurting my foot could not walk one step the CM gave me a wheel chair that I could take with me where ever I went it was a very bad wheel chair like hard to push my poor friend had blisters on her feet because of how hard it was to push me.

I honestly wouldn't count on being allowed to take an in-park rental out of the park. To my knowledge, that is generally not allowed so it was an exception if someone did that. There should be courtesy wheelchairs available to borrow to help getting to/from the parking lot or buses, but be aware these are not always in the best condition and often are not where you need it (for example, they all might be in the parking lot when you are at the park gate ready to leave). Earlier this fall the WDW resorts discontinued offering courtesy wheelchairs for guests who needed one in an emergency such as an injury occuring during vacation. It is always best to either bring or rent a wheelchair if you know you will need one getting around from park-to-park and/or resort-to-park.

I would not either I think the resin why I was allowed to was I hurt my foot in the park when from being able to walk to not being able to take a step it was late at night after 9 pm and I would not have been able to get to the hotel room with out something. on the way out we raised I would not make it to the bus to the hotel room so we asked a CM what to do he said he was not sure but I would have to do 1 of 2 thing change wheel chair or there was some that could be taken out we aced another CM who looked at the wheel chair and said you can keep that one for you trip, the bus driver loaded me in it with no problem and used it the next day at EPCOT even though it was from MK

I think the resin why they let you keep some is incase you get hurt in the park since they do not have any at the resorts any longer but I think if people abuse this that will be gone too.

Thanks for the responses. Apparently my question was not clear, however. Let me try again.

If I rent a wheelchair at Epcot in the morning, and then decide to hop to MK, can I show my receipt at MK for another wheelchair, or do I have to pay again?

Sorry, the thread took a bit of a tangent. Yes, as answered in post #2 you can keep the receipt to show at the next park. As long as there is a wheelchair available when you arrive at the second park, you will not need to pay again.

and, even during busy times, they are not likely to run low on wheelchairs.

Good to know. I've been told that before, which is why I decided to go with wheelchairs instead of an ECV. The gf can walk, but I don't think should could tour an entire park without trashing her back.
