Hoping to get free dining the week before Christmas which would mean having hoppers. We don’t usually hop, we are park open to close people. For those of you that do it how do you do it with out killing so much park time during the day? And should I even try with ten people? Kids in the group are 11,10,7,3 rest are adults.

I would think that park hopping with ten people would be almost the same in terms of time and effort as hopping with two people. Or almost the same as going from one ride across the park to another ride plus waiting for a bus or Ubers.

Nothing stops you all from breaking up including not everyone hopping but if the purpose of park hopping is to all go to the same restaurant then you won't be apart for that occasion and hour.

Just returned from 9 day park hopper with a group of 20 although 1 was a mid trip arrival and 1 a mid trip departure. Most of us are park open to close and I will only do park hopper going forward. The time spent getting between parks was not bad (especially between ep and hs with the skyliner). The last time we were there they didnt even have buses that would take you directly from park to park.

It allowed us to be more flexible and change our plans on the fly. Also allowed some of the group to split up and do parks they enjoyed more while still meeting up with everyone else daily for fp+ or dining reservations. One day a few of us went to hs to grab a rotr boarding pass while others didnt want to wake up that early again. We were able to get a boarding group, rope drop tower of terror, take skyliner to EP and rope drop frozen and meet up with the rest of the group who slept in. With park hopper we always had the opportunity to meet up with everyone at one of the parks if anyone started their day differently.

Not sure on exact time it took to get between the parks but it was never an amount of time I felt was being wasted.

We usually go back to the resort between parks. The only time we went straight to another park it did take a while for the bus to show up at MK. We sat out there for at least 30 minutes. It can be a little frustrating because they don’t have bus times updating at the parks like they do at the resorts.

Moving a large group to 10 people will be a challenge. I will require maximum flexibility and patience. Plan for low expectations of what you can do and be happy if you do a bit more.
