It looks like a modified version of park hopping will be back next year. You still make a park reservation for a single park. Once you have "arrived" at your reserved park for the day, you will then be able to go to a 2nd park after a designated time in the afternoon. Another article on a un-linkable site states 2pm, but says that can change daily dependng on park hours and other factors (crowds?).

AWESOME -
We have reservations that start 1/3/21!! :thumbsup2

Yeah; modified 2pm hopping with capacity controls; makes sense.

Would be nice to see them utilizing the boarding group system at 2pm if capacity controls become an issue. Use that with day of entry and allow to anticipate needs and demands.

Yes, good news. 1) I'm not out the extra cheese I shelled out for 6 day park hoppers (bought them pre-COVID) 2) Perhaps this return and the increase in capacity are indicators that Disney will keep marching further away from "a pricey Six Flags" sooner than later.

that's good news, we purchased the park hoppers in hopes it would return
We got the hopper option for September next year too. I was a little surprised to see it as an option, but since it was available, I figured they had to have a plan. Interesting how they will keep the reservation system. I had read rumors the reservations would stay post Covid. Now we seem to have a raod map on what that will look like.

Looks like DS won't be able to hit all 4 parks on the same day.

When I made my reservations for Nov 2021 the castmember said the reservation system would be in play till the end of 2021. And we thought it was bad when we had to make fast passes 60 days out

A step in the right direction. Now if they can just find a way to bring back FP+.
