We have purchased our 7 day passes (9th to 16th Dec) with the park hopping option. Now that I have made all our ADR's,I've been reviewing our itinery and I am wondering if the plans I have made on a couple of the days to visit 2 different parks on the one day, have any merit to them. We will be park hopping on our first day as we want to go to MK first and also we wanted to do CP on our first night. Other than that, I'm wondering if we will just be wasting time on buses if we are "hopping around". We are not travelling with young children, in fact I expect our teenage children to outlast us, so tiredness won't be a problem. I suppose what I am wondering is...do people get "tired' of being in the same park all day and go elsewhere for a change of scenery? or do you only park hop to avoid crowds? :scratchin

We park hop almost everynight. We go off season, and the parks close early. Esp. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. We love spending our nights at Epcot in January!! Epcot is always open until 9 or 9:30, so we hop over there. If we are in MK, we take the monorail over, and it really doesnt take that long at all. The monorail ride alone is a "fun ride" for my kids!! AK usually closes around 5, so we end up having a few hours to spend at Epcot at night. I think there is a bus from AK straight to Epcot. Plus now with the new evening EMH's... you will need the hopper for those, if you are in a different park during the day!

As for getting tired of being in the same park all day.. No, that hasnt happened for us. AK is the park we spend the least amount of time in. When we have done and seen all of our favorites, we will just leave instead of just walking around. There is so much to do at the parks, we never get it all done in a day, so there is always somewhere else to go, something else to see, and something else to ride. No time to get tired of being there :earsboy:

We park hop to take a break. We hit one park in the AM and go back to the hotel for a swim or go eat lunch somewhere. Maybe take a rest at the hotel. Then in the late afternoon, we'll go somewhere else for dinner and do a few rides, see the evening shows.

We only have stayed in a single park one time from entry in the AM about 9 to 8PM at night. It was the MK on Christmas Eve a few years ago. After that experience we vowed to never do it again. We were exhausted.

Also remember that MVMCP events in Dec mean that MK will close early some nights. Having the option to hop to Epcot or Studios those nights is nice.

Many people leave the parks during the afternoons for a rest/swim so park hopping does not take any extra time... but even going park to park is pretty fast most of the time.

The only time I recommend not topay for hopping is if you have small children that go to bed by 8pm- then it seems like a waste sometimes (not always).

We always park hop specially from EPCOT to MK or MK to EPCOT. Also the parks do have a bus stop from one park to another. We do travel w/ a small child and all of her "carry on's" LOL! and we don't have a problem at all.

I usually go during Spring Break so it's inevitable that there will be a crowd, so it would be useless for me to park hop to get away from crowds. I do parkhop, it's actually a treat for your feet to be sitting down for a minute. For example, AK closes at 5pm so I make plans to go to another park that day. And on the last day it's like a "get on every ride you love before you have to leave" day, so we go EVERYWHERE that day. This trip coming up I'm not expecting there to be crowds, so hopefully I can take my time in each park to soak everything in. Does anyone know the crowd situation in late September/early October?

A friend and I parkhopped between MK, EPCOT, and MGM all on the same day just last Saturday and did everything we wanted to do with still 2 hours to spare. It should be noted though that both of us have been to these parks more times than I can count. Plus, we work for the Mouse, or she used to anyway, and I just started again. Point being, if you know what you want to do and when the closing times are, it's not only feasible, it's probable...utilize your Fastpass option too.
