Park Hopping on Presidents Day

On Presidents Day Monday next month, we may start at MK and then try to hop via monorail to Epcot. Is this a bad idea on a super busy day? Should we expect ridiculously long monorail lines and delays, or parks closing at capacity?

There won't be any capacity closings. Long lines are certainly possible.

Park hopping on a busy day is actually a pretty good idea. If you find its ridiculously crowded in say the MK, then head for Epcot World Showcase later. Or perhaps DAK.

We were at the Magic Kingdom last President's Day and it was insanely crowded. Park hoping is probably your only hope.

Yeah the more I fish around, the more it seems unlikely that Epcot would see a capacity closure that day -- whereas MK could. So hopping MK to EP could work, but maybe not the other way around! I just hope the monorail lines aren't insane. Then again, maybe I should just get ready for insane everywhere with those crowd levels.

You will not see a capacity closure on Presidents day. Hopping between parks will be entirely possible. Just be prepared for a slightly longer than usual security line.

Your best bet is to hit MK at rope drop while saving the fastpasses for EPCOT. Assuming there are enough places there you are interested in using them.

We go to Disney every year for the week of President's Day and have never seen a park close because of crowds. The parks are crowded, but doable with a plan.

Park closures are rather rare. Generally it's Easter, NYE, and around Christmas if you see any phased closures. July 4th at MK as well
