We are staying onsite but have only one day to see the highlights of the parks. Would it be more efficient to drive and park or use Disney transportation? Also on Extra Magic Hour days do the parking lots open earlier also?

If you only have 1 day then I would drive. Driving is always so much faster than Disney transport.

On EMH days, the parking lot is open early too.

I agree with oogie boogie. Waiting for public transportation may be a big waste of time in your case.

My dh and I just returned from our first trip to WDW. We found that :moped: our favorite parks are MGM and Epcot. We were very pleased to find the boat that links these parks was not very crowded when we went there. If you are looking to hit all parks this may not be good but if you start at MGM, then boat over to Epcot then Monorail over to MK that would cover 3 parks quite nicely. Then at MK you could bus to Downtown Disney for a bite and back to MGM to get your car. In my experience the busses were the worst of the public transportation but with this plan you would only have to ride the bus from MK to MGM. Unless you start at the TTC then you would only need to ride it to MGM in the morning, the rest would be boat and monorail. Of course this doesn't include AK. Good luck and have a great time.
