Park hopping and fastpass??

I normally like to park hop after our afternoon break. I think it is refreshing to go to a new park in the evening and I like the variety. I leave in a week and most of the resorts were booked so I am assuming it is going to be very crowded. If I got to a park around 3 or 4 I am assuming that the fastpasses would most likely be gone?? Would it be better to return to the same park so that we could then get fastpasses for late afternoon before we took our break? I need help from all of the summer people!!!

You're correct: Park hopping and FastPass don't mix well during the busiest times of the year. However, one consolation Disney offer is much longer park hours, so you can get in just as many attractions, even using the stand-by queue a bit.

I was wondering if we were holding a FP for one park and hopped to another (before time for new FP was available) - could we get a FP at the next park as soon as we arrived? - or would we still have to wait for the FP time from the first park before we get a FP in the second? Did I totally confuse everyone with that? We are spending AM in Epcot, afternoon over at MGM - back to Epcot in the evening - but don't want to hold a FP from Epcot if it will keep me from getting one as soon as I get to MGM - are the FPs connected park to park?
emilymad - the only time I wouldn't hop back to the AM park in the late afternoon is when that park has AM EMH - the EMH park is usually packed by the afternoon.

I think you can - I don't believe the FastPass machines are tied park-to-park (plus, unless you grabbed a FastPass and pretty much flew to the next park, chances are you'll be close to or at your 'next FastPass' time by the time you got to your attraction of choice in the second park).
