Park hopping allowed?

I thought I read some where you can go into 1 other park in the same day. Is that true? If so how does it work? Do you need park hopping pass? Park hopping was not allowed when we were there in October. Thank you.

A modified version of park hopping returned on 1/1/2021. You must still make a reservation for the first park you plan on vising that day and you MUST enter that first park. Then beginning at 2 pm (time subject to change), you can hop to another park as long as that park is not at capacity. You need to have either an Annual Pass or a daily ticket with the park hopper option.

Yes park hopping is back. Works the same as before, ie, park hopper add on ticket, with 2 exceptions
1. You must first scan into the park where you have your park pass reservation.
2. you can’t start hopping until 2pm, technically you could leave your first park whenever you want, but you can’t scan into another park until 2.

park hopping is based on availability, but there have been no reports so far of someone being denied entrance to a new park. There have been reports of people hopping to all 4 parks in a single day. You are also not eligible for a rise of the resistance boarding pass if you hop to DHS from another park.

Thank you... I have an AP but my family only has daily tickets. I will call and get them that option.. Not sure we are going to do it since the parks are closing so early.

A lot of people like to park hop to Epcot for that reason, Epcot is usually open til 8 or 9 depending on the day, which can make it worth it, but if Epcot is closing at 7 every day of your trip, it's definitely not worth it. However, 7 has just been the default closing time, usually closer to the date, they extend closing to 8 during the week and sometimes 9 or 10 on the weekend if it's going to be a busy weekend.

We are going the week before Easter so I assume Epcot will be open later. We really like to hop to Epcot for dinner several nights during our trips and were sad hopping wasn't an option in October. We don't like to spend all day in Epcot but love spending the evenings there. Thank you.

You're welcome, it's usually about 2-3 weeks out that the hours get updated, and is usually done on Fridays, but occasionally Thursdays, so just keep an eye out for the updated hours as we get halfway through March.

Just noticed current hours available through April 7, which is a Wednesday. I haven't paid much attention since our trip a couple weeks ago, but I've never noticed them stop mid week before.
