Park Hopper w/ water parks, Does the WP count as a park

I'm probably not explaining myself well in the title so I will apologize in advance.
We have a 7 day park hopper ticket with the water park option however will be staying for 8 days. If we elect to go to the water park one day and not one of the main theme parks, will that count as one of the 7 days?

You have 7 days of theme park visits with the hopper option,that's coming and going between the 4 major parks,the WP fun and more with a 7 day ticket gives you 7 ViSITS to the water parks,golf and mini golf and probably Disney quest,those visits are totally separate from the 7 days at the theme parks,and those 7 visits can be done in 7 days or if you're really ambitious 1 day.

The ticket is good for 14 days after first use. You can visit theme parks for 7 days, then do one water park each day for the next 7 if you wanted to.

Plus they don't have to be consecutive so on a 14 day trip you could alternate theme park, water park, theme park, water park, etc. every day.

Is Disney Quest still included? It doesn't seem to be listed on Disney's description of the WP and fun.

It isn't listed but they have been honoring it. DQ was set to close sometime this year, but that has been delayed.

To give you an idea of how extreme it can work out, I purchased a 10 day park hopper pass with water parks and more PLUS the no expiration option back in 2008. The 10 days for the parks are long gone but I recently used day 3 of my water parks...I still have 7 more water park days remaining...at this rate it will be 2030 before I use up all of the water park passes...and I will be 80 years old !!!
