Park Hopper Upgrades

We're under the 3 month mark now and the questions are coming fast and furious. Having said that, we were given a gift from our cousin of Two 4 day park hopper passes. Can we take these passes and upgrade them to one AP? They are valued @ $ 208.00 + tax each which would amply cover the cost of the AP. Can this be done? What a benefit this would be to our trip.

Yes and no.

Yes you can upgrade the pass to an AP.

No you can't use both towards a single pass. Only one old pass can be applied to each upgrade.

The only benefit that an AP would have would be maybe a discount on your room and a discount at some places to eat. If you are not planning on going back to the world within the year it would not be beneficial to you---or if you are not staying more than 8 days.

We are staying for 8 nights and arriving around noon and leaving late in the afternoon on checkout day giving us that 9th day. We were considering an AP for a possible lower room rate and to give us some motivation to visit again within the coming year (as if we need some). Last trip we spent the last day at Downtown Disney and it just felt depressing. We want to take advantage of all our time at the world. With two 4 day hoppers and an AP which we would purchase prior to arriving we would have to buy a single day pass to both enjoy that final day of magic.
We are staying at ASMu so I'm not sure how significant a discount we might recieve, but a savings means more beaver tails and such. Any Suggestions?

We are using our AP to get a toom discount for december--I think that we are paying 58 for the room and that the total with tax is 66--this is for our first night before we move to OKW using DVC. If you think that you would come back again and/or you will use the 9th day then if it is in your budget go for it. WE are buying 2 adult and 2 kid AP for our trip, but we will get three trips out of them. Going in Dec., June, and November. We are sooo excited.
