Can someone clarify this for me, I read the other post and I'm confused! I bought 2 4 day adult hoppers last year, planning to use them for my upcoming trip this March. We also both have 1 day left on an old 7 day hopper, along with 3 extras. From what I read on the other threads, I can convert this to a 10 day MYW with hopping and no expiration for under $200 each person (adult)? This sounds too good to be true, someone help please!

You can only apply one old ticket to each new one you buy so you will not be able to use all of the old tickets towards the new ones, only one toward each.

10 day MYW PH w/No Expiration is $366.36 at the gate. From that, they will subtract the amount that you paid for the unused 4 day PH and then charge you the difference. Go to any Guest Relations location at the theme parks or DTD to handle this.

MYW tickets longer than 4 days are much less expensive than their PH/PHP counterparts were.

Could you also comment then on what would happen if you have passes with 2 days left on them? Would they prorate the original ticket price and still give you the credit against that $366?
So......if original ticket was $200, 2 days used....would $100 come off the $366? That would give us 8 extra days (with no expiration) for only $266?

Can this only be done in person, at the gate?

Disney will use the original Disney gate price of your ticket (even if you bought it elsewhere), determine the per day credit from that, and apply that credit toward a new MYW ticket. It can only be done at Guest Services at the parks or Downtown Disney.

Whether it is financially beneficial to do that depends on your situation - how old your tickets are, what you paid for them, etc. I have created a spreadsheet called the WDW Ticket Cost Analyzer to help determine your best option. Click on the link in my signature to download it. Hope it helps!
