Does anyone know if you can get the PH or PHP tix still? They are definitely a better deal than whats available now.
As shelbyjosh said, yes, they can still be found. If you don't see them listed on a web site, call the vendor. They may not have enough on hand to list it on the web.
I think Disney is trying to pull a quick one with these "new options". It's so pricey if you're getting the whole premium ticket....whatchout!
The thrust of the new ticket options was to encourage people to buy longer duration passes. If you want to purchase a pass anywhere in the 1-5 day range, yes, you will probably pay more than you would for an old Hopper.
However, look at these numbers:
7-day Park Hopper Plus (4 Plus options): $336 Advance from Disney
7-day Magic Your Way, non-expire, Plus (5 options), hopping: $334 Advance
And, the 10-day MYW pass is only $389, giving you three more park days than the 7-day MYW noted above for only $55.
The new pricing also added flexibility. Guests are no longer obligated to use services like Park Hopping, or they can elect not to pay for the "non-expiration" option if the pass will be completely used in a single trip.
If you are visiting for 4-5 days, then an old Park Hopper may save you a few dollars per ticket if you can find it. For 6 or more days, you are probably better off with the MYW pass (if for no other reason than it gives you more Plus options AND adds DisneyQuest to the Plus park list.) But, if you'll be taking a second trip in a reasonable timeframe, consider the 10-day pass and spread it over two trips.
