I am debating on getting 4 Day- 1 Park per day tickets vs getting Park Hopper Tickets. This will be my 7yo DS first trip and I don't know if it would be worth the extra cost. What are your thoughts of park hopping with little ones? We will be going the week before Thanksgiving and will be staying onsite to take advantage of EE.

Personally we prefer park hoppers. We don’t hop like we used to back and forth multiple times. But we’re free to do what we want after our nap break. If one park is busier in the afternoon we go to the other, etc.

From what I've heard from people on this board, parking hopping at Disneyland is much easier, and usually needed more, than it is at Disney World. I haven't been to Disneyland but I am going in the fall and getting park hoppers based on people's recommendations! :)

We did park hoppers when the kids were 3 and 1! lol. We are going back in July and they are now 7 and 5 and we are doing park hoppers again.

I don't find DCA to be an all day park. I just don't. I usually find it is good for half a day, but then we get itchy to do something else. We love hopping back and forth all day. It IS worth it for us, even with little kids.

Ohhhhh! You are a WDW person... ok, so "hopping" from DL to DCA takes about 2 min of walking. Seriously. 2 min. They are basically like one big park with a gate in between. So yeah, hopping is the easiest thing ever.

We got five-day park hoppers in 2015 when my DD was 7 and she did fine. That was our first Disney vacation without a stroller, as well. It was all good. We didn't hop every day, but probably three of the five. We always take a mid-day break, though, and that makes a difference.

Thanks guys I think I may just do it; I don't want to miss an event (parade, fireworks, Fantasmic) because I decided save a few $$ and got stuck at one park. :thanks:

I would get the park hopper. We found it useful when one park started getting crowded, we would check out the other. It is incredibly easy to change parks.

We have 3 kids under 6 and always hop. It's super easy, and honestly (for us and what our kids' interests are) DCA isn't worth a whole day but it's awesome to be able to ride RSR every day but then be able to go back to DL.

Definitely get the hopper! We’ve been hopping since the kids were pretty little. I can’t imagine ever not hopping in DL because it’s so easy and it gives you so much flexibility.

I actually think they are even more useful when you have EE. There always seem to be more EE days at DCA and I am never missing an EE there because it is empty. Plus, not sure where you are staying on site but if we are staying at the GCH or PPH we almost always walk back through DCA on our way out to use the back gate (and sometimes get in a ride on the wet river raft ride right before we head to the room). I'm sure you will not regret it and wouldn't be surprised if you used it daily.

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, I just needed a few ideas of how to use it with younger kids. I am planning on naps everyday I tend to want to plan everything ahead of time but I think this time we will take it slow and where ever the kids want to go.

Yes definitely get the park hopper. We rarely do a full day at DCA with our 6 year old (although he was 5 when we went) because he always wanted to go back to Fantasyland or Pirates. :)
