Park Hopper Tickets through Getawaytoday.com

We've received the vouchers for our 3-day park hopper tickets (yay!) We are planning to drive down on a Thursday and go into DL/DCA Friday through Sunday.

Can I pick up the tickets on Thursday, but not activate them until Friday? That would definitely save us some time on Friday.

I'll also call getawaytoday.com to find out, but wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this. Thanks! :teeth:
 
Yes, you can pick up the tickets thursday. They won't be "activated" until you enter the park on Friday. It's actually advisable that you do it this way to avoid standing in the ticket booth line the day you enter as well as the entrance line.

You need to exchange your vouchers at the guest services window which is to the left of the turnstiles.

They are not open as long as the parks though so you might want to find out their hours for the times you are going.

We try to do the same thing as well.

In fact when we went last July I had our bus driver drop me off so I could get them before it closed and then the rest of the family went and checked in at our hotel and they met me at DTD later for dinner. That way the next morning we didn't have to wait.

That line can get REALLY long cuz they have all the will call tickets for things like fantasmic etc.

Have fun and getaway today is the bomb. I use them EVERY time and have had a great experience!
 
If you are staying at a Disney hotel, can you exchange them at the desk? I have a vague recollection of them telling me that - but I could be making it up! :confused3
 
That I don't know. We always stay at the staybridge. You might want to call guest services and ask.

Just another happy customer of Getawaytoday ... We're headed out to DLR the week of March 20-25.
We were able to get a room at the DLH for our 5 night stay when the DL website and everywhere else I tried said there was no availability!
The 2 adult tickets included with the package as well as the free kids' tickets, pre-paid resort fee, and $150 gift card made the trip cost about equal to what we were planning to spend for a stay in June off-site.
Our family is myself, DH, DS11, DS7, and DD5.
With the 2 adult tickets included, we received 2 free children's tickets.
We paid for one additional adult ticket for our DS11.
But, I wonder if we can receive another free child's ticket with the purchase of his.
We wouldn't be able to use it, but I'm sure I could find a DIS'er willing to take it off my hands!
When you turn in your Getawaytoday voucher to receive the tickets, do they print your names on them, so if our party only has 5 in it, we couldn't receive 6 tickets?
Just wondering ... We'll be turning in our voucher on Monday so we can hit DL for EE on Tuesday morning.
Can't wait! (And I said our trip last summer would be our last ... since we live in FL, how special could DL be compared to WDW? BOY, WAS I WRONG!!!)

We always turn our vouchers in the night before we go also. We always go to the ticket booths and exchange them. I love Get Away today also. They are my favorites.

Thanks for the suggestion - I called to ask about the hours for the Guest Services kiosk (outside, since I can't get to the ones inside the gate, LOL) and they close at 5pm. Not sure if those are every day, or just weekday. Can anyone else confirm or check? Thanks! :teeth:
 
You don't need to go to guest services to turm in your vouchers. You can go to the ticket booths where you can buy the tickets. They will redeem them there. I have never used guest services. The only time I used guest services was to upgrade my ticket to an Annual Pass.
 
We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in February, booked through Getaway Today, and we were able to exchange our vouchers for tickets right at the counter while checking in to the hotel. No they do not have names on the tickets.
