park hopper tickets for kids ?

I’m planning on getting some park hopper tickets for my two DD’s for our next trip next year. My ? is with my oldest at time of getting the ticket will be 8, but if we don’t use all the days on it she will be 10 when we get to go back to Disney, will I then have to upgrade the ticket, able to use same ticket or what would I have to do?

Park hopper tickets seem to make most sense for us with us thinking we will do other things then the parks but want to have something on hand just in case we decide to go for a park for a day or two.

I've never been in this situation, but I THINK I've heard that you can take the child hopper in on the second visit, explain what happened, and they'll upgrade the remaining days to adult days at no charge. If I were you I'd call CRO (407-W-DISNEY) just to confirm it, though.
