I am a new DVC owner (May 07). My first trip using DVC is coming up in December. I want to get park hopper tickets for the trip for all who is going. We are doing a cruise next year and it won't be worth it for us to get an annual pass. When I asked DVC about the tickets, they said we would have to order them directly through Disney because all DVC will take care of are the annual passes. I wanted them put on our Key to the World Card. The DVC person told me that Disney would be able to do that by giving them the reservation number. I just called Disney tonight and she told me that she cannot do not because DVC is completely different. She said she cannot see and/or "attach" any tickets to a DVC reservation number. Now, who's right?? And what do I do?? Do I just order them online and have to carry a ticket card and our room card? I have tried searching the forums for some info on this, but I cannot find any. I apologize if this has already been covered somewhere. I appreciate and send my thanks in advance for any and all help in this matter. :confused3

You can get your tickets direct from Disney or from a discounted reseller. The Concierge at the resort can take your purchased ticket and add it to your room card. Disney can not do it electronically because they don't have access to the DVC information.

Not to be a smart ax, but are two tickets that big of a deal. We use AP's and have two tickets all the time. :santa:

When you arrive to check in just purchase your tickets at check in and they can attach it to the room keys. One thing to consider with AP is you get discounts while shopping at some DTD stores. You also get discounts at put put golf and other activities. That might make the decision to purchase AP easier. Not to mention if you live semi close you might just want to pop in for a weekend get away and your tickets will be paid along with your rooms :cool1: Just something to consider.

We use APs, too. But for some guests, it really seems to be much more convenient to have keys and tickets together. Folks like having park tickets, room accounts and dining plans all together.

A word of warning, though. We travel with friends who like their tickets on their keys, and they (meaning my friends, not Disney in general, I guess) seem to have many more problems with the ticket encoding becoming damaged than we do with our thin tyvek APs.

Hubby is insisting that everything be on one card. He said it will be less he has to carry around and/or worry about. If that's his only request for this trip, then I figured I'd at least try. I didn't know that the resort could do it once we got down there. I will just have to order them and ask once we arrive. THANK YOU so much for everyone's help. I appreciate it.

Obviously all in one is the best if it can be done. We were just there for a week in Aug. and had bought AP's as we are also cruising next yr. but then decided WHILE WE ARE SO CLOSE we should add 3 n at WDW. Of course having the AP's led to "we really should try to get in ONE MORE TRIP" so now we're going in Jan. too!:rotfl2: Anyway, in Aug. we had our room key cards, our AP's, cards for the P & P party AND the DDE card! And then there are your Fast Passes that you have to hang onto!! Anyway I took a small wallet that had lots of slots & kept all of the cards together, organized in diff. slots. As we approach the gate I pass out everybody's AP ticket - we go thru the turnstile they give it back. Same with the room keys and the DDE. We eventually bought one of those clear plastic holder things on a lanyard for the fast passes. Anyway, I wear a fanny pack so I just kept track of all of the cards in the wallet so that nobody else had to worry about them.

Thanks so much. That's some great advice for keeping everything together. I am going to get a wallet for just that purpose. I carry a small backpack with us. I will certainly add a wallet for the trip. :woohoo:

We always carry a lot of cards with us.
DVC member card for discounts, driver's license, room key, AP or PH, credit card.

I 'fanny-pack' the cards in a wallet also!
