Park Hopper ticket question

We're bringing our nephew next week. He'll be using a 5-day Park-Hopper. The rest of us are on AP's. When we upgrade his ticket to a 6-day pass, do we pay the difference between what we paid (discount through my wife's work) or what the booth price is?

Also, there's still no 7-day Park-Hopper, is there?

At Disneyland, you pay the difference between what you PAID and what the full cost is. You'll lose the discount when you upgrade.

No 7 day ticket for residents of the US.

And you might want to price it, since you'd then be paying the gate price for the upgrade, not the discounted online price. Purchasing a 1 day online might be cheaper than upgrading his 5 day.
