Park Hopper ticket expiration

I am going to Orlando for a large meeting at the Orange County Convention Center. The sponsoring organization is selling Disney Park Hopper tickets which expire ten days after the first use. Has Disney changed it's policy (no expiration) or is this a special limitation because of a slightly reduced ticket price?

The special tickets that Disney offers to groups/conventions often have expiration dates.

The "regular" PH and PHP tickets do not have expiration dates.
