Park Hopper Question

If I puchase 10 day non-expiring park hoppers, with plans to use them over the next 2 years, does the same person need to use the same ticket each time? Does the new scanner system know whose ticket is whose?

Yes, unfortunately the new system does know who is who after the first time the ticket is used. I don't think anyone else will be able to use the ticket. Maybe someone else knows a way to get around that.

All tickets are "non-transferable" which means that whomever uses a ticket "first" is the only person who can use it for all of its other "days".

Any finger-scan with the first use will be recorded in the computer and associated with THAT ticket throughout its "life".

Most people on these boards are die-hard Disney Fans and respect the rules and regulations Disney sets forth.

I'm not sure if there is an official policy or not, but most know it is implied.

So, I don't think you'll get many posters who will help anyone cheat the system! Myself included.

Thanks for your replies. I just called Disney and they said the same thing (but, then, of course I expected them to say, "nope, can't do that"!) Guess Dad's going to have to come back with us!

I wasn't trying to "cheat the system." We are planning a short (4 day) trip in October. My dad's joining us. The 10-day non-expiring park hopper isn't much more than a 4-day ticket. Just not sure he'll be joining us again in the future and wanted to know if another family member could use the remaining days.

It's disappointing that people jump to the conclusion that everyone's trying to cheat the system. I for one understood what you were asking. You're just trying to figure out if Disney can transfer the ticket over to someone else later on.

People should simply READ what's posted.

Nobody said anyone WAS cheating.

I was directly responding to the statement that said, "maybe someone knows a way around it." (I also posted a "wink" after it)

Its also a shame people find fault with every response no matter WHAT is said or intended.
