Park Hopper Plus passes : Newbie question

Hello. WDW newbie here with a question.

I am contemplating either a 5 day Park Hopper and a 5 day Park Hopper Plus pass for each in our group.

If we use all 5 days going to MK 2X and each of the others 1X, then the 5 days are obviously used. If we did not have time to go to the water park, would the 2 Plus options remain on the tickets - even though the 5 days have been used?

I am aware that unused days remain on the tickets forever, but was uncertain about the 'Plus' days.

according to disney's website. The "Plus" admissions do not expire if you don't use them.

"Your 5-Day Park Hopper® PLUS Ticket entitles you to 5 days* of admission to the following Theme Parks, with the freedom to visit multiple Parks on the same day:

• Disney-MGM Studios
• Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
